Working in primary schools with the Recycle Fashion workshops with TRAID, I have been volunteering to help young people gain hands on experience with textiles and learning techniques to change the shape of the garments. I have included some photographs of the drawings from the workshops here as I find them appealing and quite funny sketches of clothing seen from a childs point of view. | ||||||||

Brilliant - I was just thinking the other day about how there should be work done in schools around ethical and sustainable fashion to influence the next generation. Well done you!

ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way - my MA project focused on the importance of educating young people who are all too familiar with 'fast fashion'- scary. Hopefully we can get more schools on board who can help get the message across to their students.
